As a happily married, hard-working mom of three children I am always exploring ideas and entertaining thoughts of how to bring extra income into our home. In the early years I tried the candle business and the fancy plastic container “stay-at-home-mom” businesses but I didn’t have the passion for them. I didn’t have the drive to pursue a career there. In 2001 I found my passion in banking and I can honestly say I LOVE LOVE LOVE my job! I enjoy working with other people’s money. If I may backtrack a few years, I’ll take you back to 1999 when I thought of the idea for Coupon Compass. I remember it vividly….I’m standing in the grocery store shoveling coupons from pocket to pocket (use this one, discard expired one, use next time), as I’m sure some of you can relate. I was so frustrated with the time I was wasting and the disorganization of it all. When I got home and as my hubby was helping me unload groceries, I remember telling him, through clenched teeth, that someone needs to make an organizer by aisle number!! So that’s what I did!!! I carried an 8 ½ x 11 size organizer, that I made at home, for several years! It made my grocery trips a lot less frustrating and it kept me organized. I was even more excited that I stayed disciplined in clipping coupons…and actually using them…because I ALWAYS knew where they were!! In 2005, I changed the design a little, making it smaller and adding additional pockets, and had them printed. I use my organizer faithfully and on any given shopping trip I can easily save over $10. My job isn’t fulfilling only in banking, it’s fulfilling to me if I can help you save time and save money by using Coupon Compass.
